VCCR/SACSR SYSTEM UPGRADE MARCH 2016
The first phase of system upgrade to VCCR/SACSR has occurred during March 2016. These changes bring the Registry onto a contemporary IT platform and ensure that VCCR is well prepared for the shift to primary HPV testing in May 2017.
This first phase will not have a significant impact on the way laboratories interact with the Registry. The system changes for this first phase are largely improvements to functionality required by Registry staff.
If there are any unanticipated issues following the upgrade please contact our usual IT support line in the first instance on (03) 9250 0307.
Further phases of the new IT system will be implemented between mid-late 2016.
REPORTING OF CANCER SCREENING TESTS
In accordance with the Improving Cancer Outcomes (Screening Reporting) Regulations 2015, pathology laboratories are required to report on cancer screening tests performed on females in Victoria to determine whether an individual has cervical cancer or a precursor to cervical cancer.
